From a 2-bedroom apartment to 30+ staff and counting — here's how we built Sydney's most trusted line marking team.

City Linemarking was created by our owner, Ash. Working on the tools as well as creating and working on the business from a 2-bedroom apartment located in Sydney.

In our initial years we completed a range of warehouse and carpark projects. Most notable at the time was the Bose warehouse in Homebush — the first warehouse we line marked with our own machinery and equipment.

City Linemarking moved to our first office — a 1 room shared office in Norwest. This humble office was smaller than a single garage, however it was a milestone for our business. Moving out of a home office and into a corporate office with a café downstairs professionalised everything.
We hired our first BDM and Estimator, Fred Bassil. Fred has been an integral part of our team and continues to be our Estimating Manager at City Linemarking till today.

Companies started to recognise our brand, our work and most importantly our service. We employed 5 Linemarkers, hired our current Sales Manager Brent Copping and started to gain a large amount of experience across a range of projects.

We increased our team to 13, with 3 vans on the road servicing Sydney.
City Linemarking was awarded Australia's Largest Warehouse and the Largest Warehouse in the Southern Hemisphere — Amazon, Kemps Creek. This behemoth of a project took 8 weeks to deliver, involved 8 staff fulltime and we delivered it on time and on budget.
We moved from the humble 1 room shared office to a 3 room office in Bella Vista which was solely ours.

Our first large infrastructure project. We were selected to deliver the Linemarking for Parramatta Light Rail — a NSW Government site. This was a test for our team however, we delivered a completed project on time and on budget.

A milestone project — this was the first rollout of Australia Post for a long life, Cold Applied Plastic paint. We prepared every line in this large distribution centre and custom designed a lot of the Linemarking ourselves. Another project delivered on time, on budget and 2 weeks ahead of the deadline.

We put a focus on employing a quality team of office and road staff. Our main goal across City Linemarking is to ensure each member of our team is guided, happy and have a place to feel supported daily.

By 2025 our team grew to 30 staff, 10 vehicles, 15 Linemarking machines and a range of services which we have become known for.
We delivered another milestone Amazon site, again in Kemps Creek — all in Cold Applied Plastic. The largest Cold Applied Plastic rollout in Sydney which took 2 months to complete. The whole external, loading docks and carpark were completed by CLM which included kilometres of Linemarking.
We started Linemarking for Qantas, our national airline.
We rolled out a large Linemarking program of 250 sites for a local council.
We outgrew our office in Bella Vista and relocated our business to an Office/Warehouse in Norwest — able to sustain our growth, allow us to be more organised and enable us to deliver a much smoother and streamlined service.
We've invested in some machinery which will take our service up another notch. This equipment is due to land and be commissioned early in 2026 which will then unlock another level of services for customers across Sydney and NSW.
